Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Fire!
Some people would think that we only have fun at College!. However, our 1st Year student’s had a difficult task presented to them. They had to develop a multi-media product to be delivered to teaching staff outlining how to juggle and some background information on the benefits of juggling. Juggling is known to be beneficial in developing hand/eye co-ordination and can also be a stress reliever.
Our multi-media products had to contain a mixture of content, including Text, Images, Video, Sound, Links and Interaction.
The product also had to be developed using a logical development process. Our students like to remember this process by using the following mnemonic:
A Dance In The Dark Every Monday
To the rest of the world this means:
- Analysing the client requirements
- Designing a product that will meet these requirements
- Implementing the design of the product in the chosen software
- Testing that the product meets the client requirements and works properly
- Documenting all stages of the development process
- Evaluating the product and the development process
- Maintaining the product and updating if necessary
So using this process our students developed some interesting multi-media products. Have a look at some of them and then try some juggling for yourself. Our students certainly got better at it! Well some of them did.
