Computing and IT Website
The HNC Interactive class embarked on a project to design a website for the Computing and IT department. This website will be used to showcase work by students studying for various courses in the department. Before the web designing could start the class had a talk from Scott Barklie, the Web Services Manager at Aberdeen College. The talk focused on the tools which were used to create the Aberdeen College website as well as the services it offers. Scott Barklie during his talk also touched on Web Design principles and standards. The aim of this talk was to give the students an insight into the tools available for web development as well as the web design standards and guidelines. Working in teams the students started designing the website. The website designed by Matthew McDonald, Jordan Benzies and Daniel Milne was selected. The current HNC Students are redesigning the website.
