Description

This course is designed to advance students knowledge and skills of computer operating systems, computer hardware, networks (both local and wide area), data communications and project management. It will also allow students to sit the CISCO & Microsoft Vendor qualifications.

Entry Reuirements

The course is aim at HNC Computing students that wish to progress to HND and then onward to Higher Education.

Prpgression Routes / Career Opportunities

Successful students can articulation in to 3rd year of the RGU BSC(Hons) Computer network management and design. Or start a career as a computer technician, network technician or administrator.

The course involves a high proportion of “hands on” experience, setting up servers, clients and various network devices. The course is delivered using industry standard vendor materials where possible, leading to addition qualification opportunities, such as Microsoft and CISCO.
