Introduction to Digital Media

This is an entry level course designed to give candidates the IT skills needed for today’s fast changing world of technology. The first part of the course is designed by industry experts to give a comprehensive grounding in relevant commercially-required IT skills. Subjects incorporated in the course include, IT Principles, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Using the Internet, Web Site Design, Multimedia and Digital Imaging.

The course is primarily designed for school leavers and also appeals to those new to ITC.

Pre-entry guidance and core skills testing is in place so that students choose the correct entry level of course
Students are supported by academic and guidance staff and generally make good progress from the start of the programme.
Student support is available on a one-to-one basis and is especially helpful for foreign students or those returning to formal education after a long gap.
Wide use is made of the college’s Virtual Learning Environment to deliver teaching materials and provide students with information on their progress through the internet.
Projects and competitions are used to encourage students to perform at their best.
